Achievement Update
Hello there! We just recently updated all of our servers with a new Achievement System! Now you can earn Achievements for completing different tasks around the server such as watching Illuminations, riding 10 different rides and even joining for your first time. And what’s better? Each achievement you receive will earn you 5 Tokens! Now you’re able to claim more rewards for enjoying the server. We’ve been looking to implement an Achievement system for over a year now, and are so happy to finally offer it. Some other things have changed recently as well; we’re going to go over them below.
Achievements
Starting today, you can earn Achievements by riding certain rides, visiting a Park, and completing other tasks. You can view the Achievement Menu in your MagicBand under “My Profile” and “Achievements”. You’ll be able to see the names of every Achievement available, but will only see descriptions for ones you completed. Below you can see the differences between the two:
Right now the Achievement list is limited, however we will be adding onto it in the coming weeks!
Another advantage to using the system is, with each Achievement you earn, you receive 5 Tokens! Tokens can be used to purchase Outfits in shops like the Emporium in the Magic Kingdom (/warp emporium).
Ride Counter
If you didn’t already find out on the server, some changes were made to the way the Ride Counter works. For starters, we had to clear everyone’s existing list, but there’s a good reason for it. The old system stored each ride separately with a number attached to it, that number being the amount of times you’ve ridden it. For example, my Ride Counter for Space Mountain would look like: “Legobuilder0813 – Space Mountain – 10”.
The new system now stores it differently, keeping track of each time you ride every ride, as well as the time you went on the ride. This new system provides us with more information as to which rides are more popular than others, and can help us find which rides need improvement.
Friend List
Although the changes to the Friend List were separate from the Achievement update, I figured I would talk about what and why we changed the system here. As you’ve probably noticed by now, your Friend List was cleared about 2 days ago. This is something we tried our best to avoid because we know people use the system so much. Some people had over 1000 friends on their old list! But, the format in which we stored your Friend List was not optimal at all and had to be changed. The new system has already improved processing lists in the backend. Now, let’s go over the difference between the two lists.
Beware: There is a lot of technical coding talk in the next two paragraphs. Just a fair warning!
The old system stored friends in the same place we store your balance, tokens, rank, and a lot of other options specific to your account. But, your friend list was just stored as one text field, which in Java we call a String. It stored each of your friend’s UUIDs (Unique User Identification) in one string. One UUID is 36 characters (letters, numbers, and symbols) in length, which is relatively small. But, if you have 100 people in your friend list, that’s 36 x 100 = 3,600 characters in length. Plus, each UUID is separated with a space to distinguish between one UUID and the other. So, add 99 spaces in there and you have a 3,699-character friend list. That isn’t too bad, but, if you have 748 people on your Friend List, you’d have a friend list that is 27,675 characters in length. As the lengths get larger, it takes longer for the server to process (only milliseconds of a difference, but enough to impact performance). Along with your Friend List, every friend request you’ve ever received gets stored in a list just like that one. So, 320 friends and 50 requests later, you’re taking up 13,688 characters. TL;DR: the old system was very bad.
So, now that you know how the old system worked, here’s how the new one is stored. There is a separate area in which we store friends now, away from where we store your balance, tokens, etc. In fact, we store everyone’s friends in the same place. There is a different entry for each “friendship” along with a status symbol. So, if I send a friend request to Helopoh, there’s now an entry with my UUID as the sender, Helopoh’s UUID as the receiver, and a status number (either 0 or 1) which tells the status of the friendship. If the status is 0, Helopoh still has the ability to accept or deny the request since she’s the receiver. When she accepts it, the status changes to 1, letting the server know that entry can now be added to my Friend List when I join the server. If she denies the request (which has happened before), the entire entry is removed. Thanks to this new system, I can tell you that, since we implemented the updated system a couple days ago, 1,296 friendships exist and 329 requests haven’t been answered. If I wanted to do that with the old system… let’s just say I would rather cry. TL;DR: the new system is amazing.
End technical coding talk
Now you see a lot of thought goes into something so easy-to-use as our Friend System. Even though it’s one of the easiest features on the server to use, the Friend System is probably one of the most complicated in the backend. The only thing that is more complex is how we upload and download your Backpacks and Lockers, but I won’t get into that now. It’ll take 10 pages to explain that one.
That’s all for now! Over 1000 words later, now you know about the new Achievement System, the changes made to the Ride Counter, and why we had to regretfully reset Friend Lists. Remember, if you have any questions, comments or concerns, just contact a Cast Member on the server; that’s what they’re here for! Enjoy the new Achievements, and as always have a magical day!

Download your Creative Plots!
As most of you probably know, Creative’s map will be resetting on Monday June 20th. However, we feel everyone deserves to keep what they’ve build despite the map being reset. So, from now until June 20th, we’re offering Plot downloads on Creative! This is a little guide explaining how to get the download of your Plot.
- First, make sure you’re on our Creative server. Log on to imaginears.club in Minecraft and type /join Creative
- Visit your plot with /plot home. If you don’t have a plot, you don’t have anything to download!
- When you’re standing on your own Plot, type /plot download.
- The server will begin processing your Plot; it shouldn’t take more than a minute.
- You will receive a message with a link, similar to this:
- Open that link and you’re good to go! Your Plot will begin downloading to your computer as a schematic file.
- Because of the amount of Guests that will be downloading their Plots, we aren’t able to help you load the schematic into a world. Here are a few tips that might help:
- Using WorldEdit, paste your schematic into a world on a server. If you don’t own a server and don’t want to set one up, you can get one 15% off with our partner MCProHosting!
- Install the Single Player WorldEdit mod and paste your schematic into a single player world.
- Hold on to your schematic forever and ever and never let it go.
There you go, that’s how you get your Plot download! If you have any issues getting your schematic, just ask any Cast Member. They’ll be happy to help!

Issues connecting to Imaginears Club?
Recently Imaginears Club has gone through some networking changes. As a result of these changes, we have had much better protection against attacks as well as better stability overall. Still, a few guests have reported issues attempting to join the server.
Above is an image of 1 of the many possible errors you can receive upon connecting. It seems that there are issues with certain internet service providers and their domain name servers. What this means, simply, is that your provider is slow to find us.
HERE ARE SOME POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:
Note: This is not certain to work. If you’re still having issues after doing this, please report it to a Cast Member on Mumble or on Twitter.
Please try the following–
Windows:
- Log in to Windows using an Administrator account. (If your account doesn’t have Administrator privileges, you may not be able to adjust your DNS server settings. Ask your parents for help)
- Open the Start menu and select Control Panel.Note for Windows 10: Simply click the Search icon (magnifying glass) in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen and search for “Control Panel”. It will appear at the top of the search results as the best match.Note for Windows 8: Simply begin typing “Control panel” while viewing the Start screen. Click Control Panel in the search results to open it.
- In the Control Panel, select Network and Internet, and then Network and Sharing Centre.Note for Windows XP: Click “Network Connections” and then skip to step 5.
- Select Change adapter settings in the left-hand column.
- Right-click on your active internet connection (this may be “Ethernet”, “Wireless Network Connection” or “Local Area Connection” depending on how your computer is set up) and select Properties.
- In the Networking tab, click once on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) to highlight it, and then click Properties.
- Select Use the following DNS server addresses and then enter the following:
Preferred DNS server: 8.8.8.8
Alternate DNS server: 8.8.4.4
- Click OK to finish.
Mac OSX:
- On the desktop, click the Apple icon in the top left-hand corner and select System Preferences from the drop-down menu.
- Select Network.
- Select your Connected (Ethernet or Wi-Fi) connection from the left-hand column and then click Advanced.
- Select the DNS tab and then click the minus(-) button in the lower left-hand corner of the window removing all that is there.
- Select the DNS tab and then click the plus (+) button in the lower left-hand corner of the window.
- Type the following and then click OK to finish:
DNS server: 8.8.8.8
- Type the following and then click OK to finish:
After completing all these steps, please try and reconnect 🙂 if you still can’t connect it might take some time for your old DNS cache to flush. You can reboot, or wait a few hours.
Hope this helps!

Change is a good thing
We know you are confused and we’re here to help!
The concerns most Guests are having, in regards to the ResourcePack, are rarely found when using Minecraft 1.9.4. If you are on 1.8 (or an earlier version of 1.9) you should immediately be upgrading to the latest version of 1.9.4. This way you’re aligned with our servers. Continuing to use 1.8 (or early versions of 1.9) will result in a few small quirks. So, to make it easier for you, here are a few tips:
- First and foremost, UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE! Get yourself on the “Latest Version” of Minecraft in your profile. You should be on version 1.9.4 – anything less will mean continued visual quirks.
- If you are on 1.9.4 and still having visual concerns, remove any other ResourcePacks in your menu. These can sometimes conflict as most ResourcePacks are only 1.8 compatible.
- Only load MAIN from /pack or in your MagicBand. At present, our /rp menu and the link on our website may be working, but your best option is using our built-in tools like the MagicBand.
- If a ResourcePack is unable to load or you do not see the ResourcePack, the most logical reason is that you have resource packs turned off on our server. To change this:
- Go to your multiplayer menu (Where your Servers are located)
- Select (click once) on our Server
- Click Edit (on the bottom of the screen)
- Click the button to say “Server Resource Packs: Enabled”
- DONE!
Finally, in regards to our “Audio Server”: We are moving 100% away from the Sound Pack. All rides and shows should be on /audio. A few are still being added so we ask for your patience. In fact, you may notice that you are getting disconnected every minute or so. This is normal as we transition our Audio Server to 1.9, as well. Please be patient as this may take the entire day, today, or even into tomorrow. We promise to have it back as soon as humanly possible and working better than ever!
For now, please wait for us to announce when the Audio Server is back up. Thanks.
We hope you are enjoying the Parks and as always– Have yourself the most MAGICAL of days!

“Real Talk” and how you can help
Here’s the truth– I have to be honest. I would prefer not to discuss this openly. As the owner, I work hard to keep issues and concerns “backstage” so that all of you do not have to hear about it. However, I believe in fairness and offering an explanation. All of you deserve to know the challenges we face, every day, so that you understand why we have had a few outages. I also believe some of you have the ability to help us.
Imaginears Club has spent years perfecting the ability to offer our valued Guests the most enjoyable, safe and troll-free place in all of Minecraft. What you don’t know are the steps we take to make that happen. That is because our goal is to offer you many MAGICAL moments without you ever having to worry about, or deal with, the issues we personally face on a daily basis.
We strive to make sure you have a consistent experience on Imaginears Club. Whether it is your first or 30th viewing of our world-renowned showings of IROE and WISHES, or one of our many stage productions or events. We always want every Guest to enjoy themselves equally.
We are constantly growing, with thousands of new Guests daily. We continue to spend more money on servers, development and infrastructure to meet those needs. It takes much more effort than you ever see or hear about to keep us running. More money, more time, more sleepless nights, more monitoring of chat…Really, you would have no idea any of this is happening if I were not telling you right now! It’s truly incredible the amount of work all of our unpaid volunteers do to keep Imaginears Club the world’s leader and innovator. An astounding amount of work is done, daily, to make sure shows are on time, chat is clean, servers are running and plugins are updated. All of which happens behind the curtain– “backstage”.
However, with all the work we do to keep Imaginears Club running, we oddly have individuals who are angry at our success and accomplishments. All the good we do, all the safety we offer, somehow makes them mad and want to lash out at our servers. This has come in the form of multiple DDoS attacks against our many servers. DDoS, if you are not aware of the term, means Distributed Denial Of Service attack. Essentially, they hit our network with a lot of traffic so that you, our priority, are either unable to log in or are kicked from the Parks without warning. Ever been kicked off during fireworks? That’s why.
We want to stop this from happening, but it simply hasn’t been in the budget. I, personally, have spent tens of thousands of my personal money on Imaginears Club over the years and I do so gladly and with no reservations, but no matter how much I am able to do, Imaginears Club depends on YOU for donations to keep us running. Your help gives us the ability to protect, expand and develop.
We need your help to make this a priority and a mission. We want to purchase the protection to keep us online 24 hours a day without interruption and free from the bad apples who want to keep you from having the safest, and most fun, experience possible in Minecraft. We want to keep providing it for years to come, so we’re asking for your help.
All of you have the ability to help us. Some by making large donations, others by sharing this post. Blast this out everywhere. Share it. Retweet it. Let’s see how much we can raise to ensure Imaginears Club is interruption-free for all our Guests. You can help by using any of the links below my signature.
Imagine if every Guest who visited Imaginears Club over the years offered us $1 each. We’d have $500,000+! Now, imagine just 10,000 of you giving, right now, any amount– and you can see how helpful that can be.
You, your friends, your family – everyone deserves to have a place like Imaginears Club. Help us keep the magic alive and refill that pixiedust.
Sincerely,
David Wasman – Owner and Founder of imaginears

Spring Update 2016
Hello Imaginears Club Community, happy spring! It’s time for some new things to be revealed on Imaginears Club. Some have been announced, some have been kept super-secret. Let’s get going!
FastPass Kiosk
The FastPass Kiosk was probably the only thing everyone knew about the update, but they knew almost nothing about it. It’s time to clear up the secrecy, let’s talk about what it’ll do!
In Disney World, you use FastPass Kiosks throughout the Parks to add, remove, and modify existing FastPass+ Selections. These Selections are what allow you to get on the shorter, faster FastPass line on most rides. On most of our rides, however, the wait time is nothing, or barely exceeds a minute. This is because we’re an online community, and we don’t have thousands of people in one Park at a time (that’d be cool though, right?). So, rather than allow you to create selections for FastPass+ that wouldn’t even be useful, we decided to go beyond what Walt Disney World has in these Kiosks and add Imaginears Club-Specific items.
The first three items from the left are three FastPasses, each of which can be claimed daily. However, there’s a catch. Each FastPass only works on a certain type of ride: Slow, Moderate, or Thrill respectively. All of our rides are now being categorized according to how Disney does it for their Parks. For example: The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror can only accept a Thrill FP, Soarin can only accept a Moderate FP, and It’s a Small World can only accept a Slow FP. No more shall we charge you $50 for each FastPass, that wasn’t fair. We hope you like this addition!
The center item, the Nether Star, is another new feature. Each day, you will be able to vote for Imaginears Club on popular Minecraft Server Lists. Each vote you make will, in turn, give you 5 Tokens. You can vote as often as the Server Lists let you, but you will only be rewarded once every 12 hours so you don’t get too rich!
The last three items are something we’ve been wanting to add for a very long time. With those, you are able to claim Monthly Tokens! Depending on your position on the server (Guest, DVC, Shareholder) you will be able to claim more Tokens. Everyone will be able to claim 50 Tokens. DVCs get an extra 50, so they get 100. And Shareholders get another 50, but can claim the DVC Tokens, so they get 150. If you have more tokens than you know what to do with, we’ll be adding more Outfits into the store soon. Stay tuned!
That’s a wrap for the FastPass Kiosk features. We hope you like them, a lot of work went into each and every feature. As always, let a Cast Member know if you find any bugs so we can fix them right away!
Suites
This is another feature we’ve been looking to add for a while. Suites are the same as normal Hotel Rooms, except they’re exclusive for our DVC Members and Shareholders. We plan on converting rooms in the Grand Floridian to Suites, as well as adding the ability to rent the Bungalows at the Polynesian as Suites. More news on that in the coming weeks!
Audio Server
This new service has been in the works for months, we’ve been fine-tuning it to the point where we believe it is time to show you, our Guests, what we’ve been up to! We realized how tedious it is for some of our Guests to download huge 200MB+ Audio Packs, and then configuring them could be difficult as well. After a lot of time was spent considering our available options, we decided this would be the best way to make it easier for more people to experience our Parks in the most immersive way possible.
With this, we will eventually be removing the necessity to use an Audio Pack entirely. Also, we will be removing standard show audio like Wishes and IROE from our Resource Pack, making that even smaller. As of right now, our Audio Server only supports a few rides completely (Test Track and Mission: SPACE). These were created so we could display how in-sync and easy-to-use this new system really can be.
Other than rides, the Audio Server will also play some music as you walk around the Parks! As you walk from the entrance of the Magic Kingdom to Main Street, the audio changes and gets more upbeat. Then, when you get closer to the Castle, it gets more regal. Everything you hear is exactly what you would hear if you were in the real Parks. All of the soundtracks used are owned by the Walt Disney Company, we do not claim ownership to any of the audio used on the Audio Server.
Okay, I’ve explained this feature enough. Let’s tell you how to use it!
Right now, since the Audio Server is still under heavy development, we are only making this available to our DVC Members and Shareholders. We don’t want to put it under the load of hundreds of users yet. As it’s used, we will be improving it. Everyone will have access soon!
To use the Audio Server, all you have to do is login to Imaginears Club and type /audio. Then, just click “here” in the message, and the Audio Server will open up! Important: As of right now, Google Chrome is the only supported browser. We will expand to support Internet Explorer, Safari, and Opera in the coming weeks. In the meantime, download Google Chrome here! It is very secure and safe to use.
Please expect bugs and other issues with the Audio Server, it is still early in development.
Edit: We had to temporarily disable the Audio Server. The network couldn’t handle everyone connecting at the same time! We’re already working on improvements, updates soon!
Edit: The Audio Server is back up and running, type /audio to connect!
That’s what we’ve been working on recently! All of the above features are now available for use. As always, have a great day! See you around in the Parks

Help us grow
Imaginears Club has provided fun and MAGIC for families for ~5 incredible years. We’ve won awards, hosted conventions and even achieved a world record. All of that has been amazing. However, even though it has increased our Guest count (which we LOVE!), it has not increased our incoming donations.
We run with your continued support. Your donations keep our servers running, our plugins developing and our plans moving forward. Everything that happens is thanks to our wonderful Guests and their generosity.
We want to be able to continue to provide the safest, cleanest and most family-oriented experience in the most fun and unique ways possible. That takes more than we earn, at the moment, though.
Recently, donations have begun to drop, even as the number of Guests continues to increase. Because of that, our needs now outweigh our obligations. At our current rate, it is difficult for us to enhance and expand the Guest experience and further improve and develop our servers. We want to be able to add new games, servers, plugins, Cast Members, conventions and more, but it simply is not possible without your support.
Also, we have had to endure attacks on our network from individuals who sadly do not want to see us continue. Bringing our network down hurts you, our Valued Guests, and your families.
We’re asking all our Guests to share this in the hopes that we’ll find many (or even a couple of large) donations to help us continue to flourish and grow. We know you believe in family-friendly entertainment. We know you have a MAGICAL time on Imaginears Club. We know you want to see that continue. We’re just asking for a little help getting there.
Here is some of what your donations go towards:
- Servers – We have 5, but have started to exceed their capacity. They cost us, roughly, about $1000 a month
- Plugin development – MagicBands, games and more are handled by this. With github and the software, this is about $200 a month
- DDoS mitigation – We have sometimes lost network stability due to attacks and need to purchase this – Would cost us about $400 a month
- Buycraft – This is our donations portal. We pay for the basic plan, but we’d like to expand to the enterprise plan at over $250 a month.
- PayPal – This includes handling unexpected bills like when someone contests their valid donation and we have to pay $20 each time to PayPal to resolve it. Last month it cost us $250. For us, that is a lot of money.
- Research and development – This can be visits to the parks to gather needed info and images of rides, shows and attractions or software and schematics to do the same. Roughly: $500 a month
- Legitimacy – Finalizing on our goal to become a valid entity with a name and title. Cost: about $2500
That is thousands a month in bills, right now.
As you can see, we have more going out than coming in and I continue to foot the bill, personally, where I can. Still, I know out of the more than half a million Guests we have had, at least a few of them can afford to donate large amounts to help us offer this MAGICAL place to more families around the world. If every Guest who visited Imaginears Club offered us $1 each we’d have $500,000+! Now, imagine just 10,000 of you giving small amounts and you can see how helpful that can be.
So please, do whatever you can to share this, blast this on social media, or donate to help us continue to offer the safest, most fun place to play in Minecraft and quite possibly all of the gaming world.
Visit http://store.imaginears.club and make any sized donation, today! You may also contact us at [email protected] for other options to donate large amounts.
Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
David Wasman – Owner and Founder of imaginears

Help us continue to offer one of the only Family Friendly experiences online.
First, thank you for your time. What we do is very important to hundreds of thousands of families around the world. We hope you take the time to read this. We believe strongly in what we do and think you will, too.
Imaginears Club was founded with the belief that there should be a place online that kids and families should be able to play for free and safely. We have no trolling, no personal information sharing & no swearing on our servers and they are monitored 24 hours a day by over 160 unpaid volunteers.
Since I started this dream, I have paid, out of pocket, to keep it running. Since then, my health deteriorated and I lost my high-paying IT job…but not my belief in this community.
Imaginears Club has run almost completely off of donations for the past 3 years. In that time we were inducted into the Guinness Book of World Records, invited to participate and run multiple conventions and much more. Sadly, however, in order for us to continue to stay open the donations are simply not enough.
We are looking for your support to keep us up and running for years to come. To keep offering this special experience to our Guests, their friends, and their families.
I am happy to offer you any documentation needed to provide you with a basis of our financial situation. (As an example, our monthly bills exceed $1000.) We do not always make that much, however, in donations – so it is a struggle. ** Please note that we are not a 501-3c.
If you choose to help, you can do it in multiple ways:
- A donation to our PayPal using [email protected] or clicking the Donate button on this page.
