4 years ago, I could never have imagined the incredible family we would create & become with a simple dream; To create a fun, safe environment for families and children of all ages to enjoy, for free. Over those 4 years, we have seen major improvements – but nothing like you are about to experience.

1st, Imaginears Club is now hosted on the same servers and network that HyPixel uses! That’s right, we are on the top tier when it comes to servers, networks and amenities. Our new hardware is faster than ever before. You will see improvements in everything from shows, to chat, to events…EVERYTHING!

Some of the additions include:

• 5 levels of connection to the servers (if 1 goes down, we have 4 more to keep it up and running!)
• Internal and private builds of Spigot and Bungee (We have control over the code!)
• Mumble hosted on its own server
• Website hosted on its own server
• and more

With these new upgrades you will see fewer issues, reduced lag & overall performance gains. Having 5 bungees means we have more ways for you to connect…AND STAY CONNECTED!

2nd, we are close to releasing our all new EPCOT. This is our most incredible build to date. The level of realism, in comparison to any other park we have built, sets a new standard for excellence. So much more has been added. You can watch 360 degree movies in China and Canada, enjoy the stage show at America, eat at EVERY restaurant and kiosk, and play with the latest technology and innovations at Future World.

Plus, after almost 1 year of work, our talented group of Imagineers have produced an all-new, mind-blowing rendition of our popular Illuminations, Reflections Of Earth fireworks. It’s breath-takingly accurate and includes exactly the same number of fireworks as the original.

3rd, Imaginears Club has surpassed the 110 mark for Cast Member volunteers, so you can be assured you will always find someone to help you, keep things safe and provide you with excellent care. Even better, after our next meeting, we will see the introduction of even more volunteers, so we are well on the way to having over 125 Cast Members to assist you!

4th, Creative is being improved, too! We will be resetting the map, soon, to upgrade your experience and offer you more options. Stay Tuned for that!

5th, Our incredible team of Imagineers, Developers & Managers have been quietly working behind the scenes on additions and improvements on your MagicBand, Hotel Rooms, Shows, Merchandise, Food, and so much more. Plus – an economy! More on this at our next meeting.

LASTLY, As we work to improve everything we’ll also be disabling a few items temporarily in order to update them to the new standards. These include the friend and party systems. Chat may also be limited for the time being. This will only have an effect for a few days.

These are only a few of the many, MANY enhancements you will be enjoying on Imaginears Club in the coming weeks, months, and years. We continue to grow at a massive rate and provide the largest number of Guests with the most incredible, fulfilling and enjoyable experience they can ever imagine. We have set the bar high and continue to reach higher, because that is what Walt would do. It’s about you, our valued Guests. No other motivation keeps us going than your smiles, your happiness and your MAGICAL reactions. We’re not here for any other reason. That is the way it should be.

What we do has never been (and never will be) about competition. It’s about you. It’s about your enjoyment. We do this to inspire you. To offer you the experience you expect & deserve. To show you “whole new worlds”. It’s about the MAGIC.

Hello, everyone! It’s just about summer time for a majority of us, and we’re getting ready to celebrate! We have loads of new things for you guys to play with later this month.

For those of you that don’t know, we held our June Public Meeting yesterday, June 6th. We talked about lots of important things, but nothing can beat having new Staff Members. Here’s the list of the staff members that were announced yesterday:

Tomorrowland

Yesterday, we released a new server for everyone to explore for a limited time. This new server hosts the amazing Tomorrowland Map built by BlockWorksYT. This server can be accessed by typing /join TL. It automagically installs the map’s Resource Pack when you join the server. Be sure to accept this, or you won’t be able to view the map! If you’re kicked from the Tomorrowland server, it most likely means you declined the Resource Pack. More help can be found here to fix that issue.

Summer Updates

Since January this year, our Development Team has been working very hard preparing a whole bunch of new features for you guys. Here’s a complete list of everyone that will be released that was mentioned at yesterday’s meeting:

• Fully-Functioning Hotel System on the Resorts server
• Auto-Resource Packs so you don’t have to download from the website
• Player Settings Menu in MagicBand to disable some features like Flash Effects
• Custom Ride System to allow for quicker updates to new Minecraft versions
• Guests can now customize the color of the MagicBand
• Special Edition MagicBands are still DVC-Only but are free to change
• Updated Autograph System
  • Only Characters, Special Guests, and Staff will be able to sign books. Sorry!
• Fixed cross-server inventory system to minimize the number of issues that players currently experience.
• New Trading System for players to trade items with each other
  • Coins/Credits cannot be traded. Only items in your inventory excluding your MagicBand and Autograph Book.

That’s a whole bunch of cool new stuff, and there’s even more that we don’t want to announce just yet! As of right now, there is no set release date for these features. When we have one, it will be added into this post.

End of School Celebration

This Saturday, June 13th at 4 pm EST we will start our End of School Celebration on our servers! We will have shows, parties, and more for everyone to enjoy.at

I have been overwhelmed, in a purely positive way, by the sheer number of volunteers Imaginears Club has met (and hired) over the years. Last year, over 10,000 of you applied. If only we had the space!

This year is fast becoming bigger, busier & more fulfilling than ever! From our 300,000 party, to ArcadiaCon & so much more we will be revealing soon – this is going to be the most amazing EVER!

As we hire new Cast Members, just like the real parks we have what is called a “turn over”. This is normal. In fact, Imaginears Club is unique in that our turn-over rate is lower than Disney Park’s! That is due to our diligence, hiring practices, training, follow-ups and more. Ours is the most intensive and involved training of anyone in Minecraft – or quite possibly any Game Server in existence. The level of personal involvement varies from person to person, but most give their all to the servers to make our Guests happy and content.

Still, many of our valued CMs are still in school, working jobs and have personal lives that take up much of their time. This is a fact that we have always had a saying for: “PERSONAL LIFE COMES BEFORE Imaginears Club!”. That policy has been a part of Imaginears Club longer than anyone but me. It’s a founding principle. Never should Imaginears Club take over someone’s life so much that they forget their responsibilities. It’s important kids do their homework and adults tend to their duties in real life before they come to Imaginears Club.

Our Cast is about 100 Members strong, right now. Characters number in the 250+ range. That means, at all times, we have coverage and there will always be a Cast Member to help you!

No one who voluntarily leaves Imaginears Club ever does so permanently. They are always welcome back, if they left on good terms or stepped down/away to focus on their personal lives. We respect those who do that and encourage our Staff to take those breaks. It’s healthier that way.

Imaginears Club is also proud to have inspired so many of our Cast Members to become real Cast at many Disney Parks worldwide! In total, 6 of our former (and some current) staff are now employed by the real Disney Parks. How awesome is that? Pretty neat, huh?

So to all of you who are still here: THANK YOU! — and to all of you who have left us, albeit temporarily: MAY ALL YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE!!!

After months of preparation, hard work & tons of revisioning, we have an all new ResourcePack. We would list all the changes, but the total number of block and item improvements exceeds 200.

So, the highlights are:

• All new textures – We’re now fully 1.8+ compliant
• Updated textures – Older textures have been improved and reimagined
• Optimized images – images have been reduced by as much as 75%
• Optimized sounds – sounds have been reduced by as much as 50%
• 3D textures – a select few blocks have 3D textures
• Variant Blocks – Things like brick blocks and grass now have multiple images

With this pack, we have succeeded in reducing overall size to almost less than default. This means that even though we have HD textures, they will absolutely not lag your client or fill up your memory. You get all the benefits of improved hi-quality textures without the issues of an HD pack. Plus, our old pack was a hefty 64MB – It has now been reduced dramatically to 32mb and still retains the high quality you have come to expect!

Finally, with this pack comes the introduction of automatic ResourcePack loading to SOME servers. We are working hard to roll out this fully automated feature to all servers, so ‘bear’ with us. It’s a ‘necessity’.

Imaginears Club Easter Egg Hunt 

Rules: This contest is open to all Guests and DVCs that visit our servers. The contest runs all day April 5th 2015. You must find all the eggs and correctly list them in your book by name and number. The name and numbers will be located upon a diamond block near the egg. You must sign your book before you drop in off in the hopper to enter as we can not  establish the owner of a book without it being signed.

Prizes:  Two winners will be chosen randomly Monday April 6th.  Winners will get $5.00 toward a DVC membership. If you are already a DVC member you will receive 2700 credits.

• You will start the hunt by picking up a book at /warp Eggs
• You will have all day to find the 16 hidden eggs throughout the servers.
• Each egg will have a diamond block with a sign. On that sign you will find the number of the egg and the name of the egg.
• In your book write the name and number of the egg. (they don’t have to be in exact order.)
• Once you find all 16 of the eggs sign your book so we know who it belongs to.
• Go to /warp Drop to put your book in the hopper

After my RECENT POST, explaining our position in the greater Minecraft and Theme Park community, I missed an important focus item: “Competition”.

Our loyal Guests know that they are our 1st & main focus. Their safety, fun and enjoyment are, as stated before, paramount to our long-running (and future) success. This emphasis has helped propel us from a small 20 person server to the almost 300,000 Guest server we are today. We give our valued Guests, and the importance of Disney’s Four Keys, much forethought. Our actions, words and position are constantly reviewed by Management, outside focus groups and other Minecraft servers. If we were to ever slip up & ignore our goals, including our unending dedication to Walt’s Vision, someone would take notice. Our diligence has paid off and we feel we have one of the happiest servers in Minecraft with the most content and joyous Guests!

As a rule, from the day we started, we have been clear that there is not, and never will be, a competition between us and any other similar server. Never, in our years on social media, have our accounts attacked, maligned, compared, trolled, bothered, stalked or spoken ill of any other server. There is not 1 documented incident. Furthermore, our current Cast Members are held to an extraordinarily high standard on their own, personal, social media accounts. They know that their actions can have a direct impact on Imaginears Club. Anything they say, as a representative of Imaginears Club can be construed as coming from us directly. Again, because of the level of respect, loyalty & training our Cast Members have, you will not find any swearing, posting derogatory comments or unsafe materials on their accounts.

For a good example of this, look to Disney Parks– They don’t have a habit, on social media or the news, of stating that they are in direct competition with Universal. They do not have a habit of posting comparison images, gossip or rumors about any park. That’s because Disney is smart enough to know there is no competition and that it makes no rational sense. It’s bad business!  Besides, Universal doesn’t offer the same experience. Disney has better things to focus their energy on…and so do we. Universal, on the other hand, has their CEO publicly saying saying silly things like “Universal will compete aggressively with Disney”. You can be assured, Imaginears Club will never fall into that trap of negativity. Guests don’t want or need to see that sort of unhealthy rivalry. They’re not here for that. They are here for FUN and MAGIC!

We’re not here for that sort of behavior, either. We’re not a corporation. We’re just a bunch of volunteers who enjoy the game and Disney together…just like you!

 UPDATES

As Minecraft has grown, so have we. Some of our parks and rides become “dated” as Minecraft has improved and offered more options. When you have 4 parks, 5 resorts, 2 water parks, a games server, multiple projects, plugins and shows to do – this might mean a few things lag behind the times. We’re confident our Guests are smart enough, and patient enough, to realize this is the case.

Let’s take EPCOT as a perfect example…and give you a little “backstage access” to its current progress.

EPCOT, as it appears on Imaginears Club, was completed WAY way back in 2012. During that time, Minecraft was barely out of BETA. Many of the blocks and options we have today never existed. So, our current EPCOT became a bit “simple”. The real Walt Disney World Resort had this same issue. Much of EPCOT, just as Walt envisioned, had to update with the times. This is a common occurrence and not a valid concern. It’s just a fact. Progress happens and we, as well as Disney, are required to keep up, and so we do… IN A HUGE WAY.

Let’s start with the American Pavillion. This 1st image is how it looks now on current (old) EPCOT. It’s relatively plain, by today’s building standards, so…

We updated it, dramatically! Check out the imagery, the scenery, the buildings, the decor…everything is crisp and new and updated to today’s standards of excellence. Our Cast Members are doing an incredible job. And you think that looks good? Wait until you go inside to see the show!

Our builds don’t stop there, either. Here you see the JAPAN Pavillion as it exists on the current EPCOT server. Not horrible. You get the feeling you are there, butthe scale is a bit off, the American pavillion is too close, and the shoreline is too linear.

Here is the New JAPAN Pavillion! As you can see, we have much more detail, better angles, improved textures and the right colors for today. It’s a drastic and welcome improvement.

Probably the most talked-about recent image of our parks, and one used over and over (although it is a 3 year old image), is this one. This is the FRANCE Pavillion in old EPCOT. Sure, we can admit it is a bit bland and old, but 3 years ago, when Minecraft was still young, this was the best it could be.

And here, as the French would say, is the “Pièce de résistance” – This is the all-new FRANCE Pavillion. Angled correctly, offering better vantages, more to do, and a much richer feeling.

Imaginears Club is never averse to change. As anyone knows, Walt said many times:

We are honored so many have chosen to emulate what we started. From using the word MAGIC in their names & advertising, to using our website theme, to using our tweet formats and right down to using our skins for characters, we are aware that it is a gesture of love and respect. We accept that it will happen. In fact, we encourage it! It’s awesome to know we did something so well that so many others would want to echo that success.

We promise to continue to do everything in our power to ensure our Guests have the most MAGICAL time. We will always be updating, improving, changing, cleaning and expanding our Parks. It’s the same thing Walt Disney World does – we’re just following their lead! We will also continue to uphold our long-running high standards all of you have come to expect. We will never be a “Grumpy”.
