Developer Application

Are you looking to become the newest member of the Imaginears Club Development Team? You’ve come to the right place! Below are instructions on how to apply. This application process is different than applying for Cast Member or a Character, so please thoroughly read the instructions before submitting your application. Any applications that don’t provide the required information may be skipped due to the large amount of applicants. The right way to submit an application is to keep it short and state the really cool/interesting stuff up front. You can include links to screenshots, GitHub, YouTube videos, etc. However, we will not run any programs/plugins sent to us in the initial application stage.

IMPORTANT: You must be at least 16 years old to become an Imaginears Club Developer. Only in certain circumstances permitted by the Managers may the applicant be younger than 16. Please do not ask a Manager for special permission if you are under the age of 16. If we believe you deserve it, we will contact you.

What positions we’re looking for:

System Administrator

  • Knowledge with Linux (Debian)
  • Experience with MySQL
  • Thorough understanding of Java
  • Able to work well with others and can meet deadlines on time

Plugin Developer

  • Ability to utilize the Spigot/Bukkit API in creative and new ways
  • Knows their limitations – You know when you take on too many projects
  • Passionate about Minecraft and Disney
  • Able to work well with others and can meet deadlines on time

Website Developer

  • Extensive knowledge and experience with HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript and/or Python
  • Able to create awesome webpages
  • MySQL experience recommended, not required
  • Able to work well with others and can meet deadlines on time

iOS Developer

  • Previous experience developing iOS Apps
  • Able to create an easy-to-use UI
  • Able to work well with others and can meet deadlines on time

Even if you don’t fit any of the listed positions, we are still looking for talented Developers. Send your Application anyway!

How to Apply

Instead of submitting using an application on the website or an external Google Form, you must send the information in an email. Below is the list of the information you must include in your application.

  • Your REAL name (First and Last)
  • Minecraft Username
  • Your age (As explained above, you must be at least 16 unless otherwise permitted)
  • Your current Country, State, or Time Zone. Whichever you provide is up to you.
  • Links to any of your previous projects. This may be work done for another server, personal projects, etc.
  • A short description explaining why we should choose you to be the newest Imaginears Club Developer

All of the above information is required for all applications. Please submit an application only if you can fulfill all of the requirements.

You must send all of the above information in an email addressed to [email protected]. Please do not send more than one application every month.

Note: Since Imaginears Club’s donations go directly back into running the server, this is not a paid position. We are hoping in the future to become an organization with paid Developers, but as of right now it is considered a volunteer position. Although volunteer, this position still expects you to meet deadlines as they are set.
